What you will do
Circles is a bold new experiment in peer-to-peer money that restores agency to people and communities.
It differs from other protocols and experiments because of its fair emission schedule (1 per hour per human), that way it degrades and encourages usage over hoarding, and the fact that any human can become an issuer of money without any gatekeepers. You just need to be trusted within your trust graph.
You can think of it like "social money" but in truth it has many many potential uses. As a protocol it fundamentally reimagines the creation of, and access to, money.
It's open-source, collaborative, audacious, and backed by Gnosis.
Position Overview
The Marketing Manager is a brand-led storyteller who will accelerate adoption, deepen community engagement, and drive awareness of Circles. This critical role translates complex concepts into compelling narratives to cultivate a powerful brand and support the delivery of our business objectives.
You would be fully embedded in the Circles team, leading all brand and marketing initiatives with high ownership and agency. As part of the wider Gnosis marketing team, you can leverage their extensive knowledge and experience. We seek someone who thrives on ownership, and we will do all we can to help you to succeed.
Your starting point will be designing a marketing and communication plan that aligns with the core values and goals of Circles, including defining the core target audiences, key narrative and messaging, and codifying the brand positioning.
What you will do
You will own three critical strategic pillars:
Brand
- Act as the brand strategist, crafting an inspiring narrative that articulates the fundamental "why" behind Circles. You will codify the comprehensive brand positioning and the unified message architecture.
- Serve as a self-starting public advocate and evangelist for Circles, proactively building relationships and protecting the project's vision and reputation.
- Own the entire content lifecycle across long-form, short-form, and educational materials to reduce the friction of engaging with crypto and Circles-owned concepts.
- Strategically manage the Circles website, landing pages, and the Gnosis App Circles section, focusing on clear messaging, optimal user experience, and maximizing conversion rates to new user sign-ups.
- Lead day-to-day management and growth of all social media channels, ensuring brand consistency and driving engagement with relevant topics.
- Establish the formal communication and coordinate messaging and GTM activities with the Gnosis App/Product team, ensuring technical updates are consistently translated into clear, value-driven user outcomes.
- Cultivate and support the Circles communities and groups, turning users into active participants and local hub organizers.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, community meetups, and presence at relevant industry conferences (virtual and in-person).
- Define and track key brand health metrics, community growth, and awareness of core concepts.
